We joined Michigan Agency Partners as a brand new agency with a minimal insurance background. When many others said no and that starting a scratch agency would never work, Dave took a leap of faith with us, and they have supported our mission and vision so well. I grew up in the Jackson area and got into the insurance industry in 2002. I became very aware of both Dave and Ric, as they were both local titans in the industry. When I heard that they were teaming up to start MAP, I knew that I had to be a part of it. I became MAP’s first appointed agent/agency, and before the deal was even finished I was asking Dave to go on a sales call with me. He said send me some info on the risk and I’ll meet you out there for the appointment. In that 20–30-minute meeting with the prospect, I learned more about sales and how to close, and was off and running. We wrote that risk and then he met with me for a few more that we wrote. I haven’t needed to call him to any more appointments since, but if I ever have a question about coverage, or a problem with a claim, Dave is my first call. The staff is great as well. If I have a unique risk, I call CL Access and they point me in the right direction of which carrier will like that. On the personal lines side, Ron is as genuine and helpful as it can get. I am honored to be a part of the MAP membership and humbled to have been the first of what are now so many successful agencies. Dave had a vision, and he has manifested that into a reality that has provided so much opportunity to so many..
